Position Description

As the Product Operations Manager, you will be a critical leader on the Revenue Operations Team responsible for the management of our Revenue Product portfolio. You will work with the Revenue leadership to define business requirements for prioritized projects and drive the relationship with our in-house Product Team, as well as supporting the development of the Revenue product roadmap. These projects may include sales journey enhancements, systems enhancements to ensure correct data structure, and sales workflow improvements. Additional responsibilities will include providing regular status reporting, prioritizing requests from senior leadership, product roadmap updates, and assisting with annual planning.

You will work closely with Sales Leaders, Revenue Operations Team, and Product Management to define Revenue business requirements. Additionally, you will work with the Product Team to guarantee that the Revenue Product prioritized activities and identified bugs are promptly completed or remediated.

This is a remote position that can be done from anywhere. Due to the remote nature of this role, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship. Resumes and communication must be submitted in English.

Responsibilities:

We seek someone passionate about product customer experience and journey map improvement, with advanced sales processes knowledge, strong project management skills, and a curiosity for solving complex challenges. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Work with the Product Team and Revenue Operations to facilitate collaborative Revenue and Product roadmap planning and prioritization, identifying dependencies with other initiatives for current or backlog projects.
  • Lead the Revenue and Product collaboration planning activities and facilitate business requirements meetings, ensuring the highest quality business requirements deliverables in a timely fashion.
  • Support the Revenue to Product Strategy by tracking the prioritized roadmap project updates and documenting new product requests, ensuring the Revenue Product backlog is up-to-date.
  • Work with the Product Team to investigate, coordinate, support, and communicate remediation plans for Revenue’s product-prioritized issues or bugs identified promptly.
  • Collaborate with Product Management teams on rollout plans and GTM strategies for product launches.
  • Track and report on the impact of feature launches to define future roadmap opportunities.
  • Lead internal user research/discovery efforts to ensure the perspectives of Revenue team members are properly taken in consideration when proposing/developing features.
  • Deeply understand all Revenue-related product to ensure feature requests will not disrupt Revenue operations.
  • Report and escalate any issues, with mitigation and path to resolution.
  • Build and deepen relationships with Revenue Operations Leaders and Product Team to better align product enhancements to Sales Journeys and Cycles.

In the first week, expect to:

  • Onboard and integrate into Toptal.
  • Rapidly begin learning about Toptal’s history and vision.
  • Familiarize yourself with the Revenue team’s OKRs, initiatives, and projects and how they are aligned with Toptal’s overall success.
  • Meet the Revenue Team and your key stakeholders to begin uncovering individual and team priorities.

In the first month, expect to:

  • Learn the true value of Toptal by completing onboarding training, shadowing calls, and meeting with key stakeholders.
  • Explore Toptal’s tools and resources to understand how they are currently used.
  • Familiarize yourself with Toptal’s Sales Systems and workflows for ENT and SMB Sales Teams.
  • Familiarize yourself with ENT and SMB Sales Journey Map.
  • Shadow ongoing Revenue - Product initiatives to familiarize yourself with cross-functional teams and projects.

In the first three months, expect to:

  • Lead the tracking and updates of the Revenue Product Roadmap status.
  • Familiarize and provide recommendations on the Revenue Product process. These recommendations include tracking and consolidating new requests, scoping new product initiatives, and prioritizing all Revenue stakeholder requests.
  • Begin to identify Revenue-Product areas for improvement and additional opportunities.

In the first six months, expect to:

  • Identify additional areas of opportunity to strengthen the Revenue Product process, leading product proposals to Revenue Initiative owners.
  • In Partnership with the Product Management team, ensure we have the best tools and processes to drive and ensure scalability to our Revenue Product framework and tracking.

In the first year, expect to:

  • Own or assume a key role in designing and leading Toptal’s Revenue Product Roadmap and providing recommendations regarding Product deliverables scoping and planning.
  • Become a trusted business panther to Revenue Leadership and other Senior Leadership across Toptal.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, or a field tied to the product sector (tech, finance, etc.) required. Master’s in engineering or MBA a plus.
  • 7+ years of Revenue, Business, or Product Operations experience. Knowledge of Sales Systems and product program management preferred.
  • Experience using Agile/Scrum methodology and project management tools.
  • Ability to drive, motivate and influence tasks, goals, and priorities from cross-functional project teams distributed across multiple geographies and disciplines in a matrix structure where none of the resources report directly to the Product Liaison.

Prior to Toptal, Kimberly worked with founders and entrepreneurial organizations to help start-ups launch and grow their businesses.
