Position Description

As our Senior Revenue Enablement Manager focused on supporting cross-functional initiatives, you will be a strategic thought partner to our cross-functional teams, by serving as a liaison between these teams and Revenue. You will cultivate relationships and act as an advisor to our cross-functional partners by leveraging your exceptional executive communication skills and collaborative approach to ensure their cross-functional initiatives support Revenue’s business priorities.

Your creative approach to problem-solving and eagerness to learn and raise the bar will help you build valuable partnerships in and outside the Revenue team. You will enhance enablement processes while building the infrastructure to support our unprecedented growth, and ensure the success of our company-wide initiatives by providing strong guidance to our cross-functional teams and properly enabling our Revenue team members. Strong communication skills and active listening will quickly earn you the reputation of a true Toptal Ambassador.

This is a remote position that can be done from anywhere. Due to the remote nature of this role, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship. Resumes and communication must be submitted in English.

Responsibilities:

Cross-functional Partner: As the main enablement point of contact for our cross-functional business partners you will work with senior leaders across Marketing, Legal, Finance and Operations as an advisor that manage the intake and prioritization of new enablement requests to and from Revenue, provide strategic guidance, and create and execute enablement plans.

Change Management: As a part of supporting change management for these teams you will shape the right enablement approach to change based on needs of the individuals impacted, and formulate a plan that integrates seamlessly into the larger Revenue enablement calendar. You will partner with the project team to create the resources needed to support the change, and effectively communicate with and train leaders and client-facing team members before, during, and after the change is released. These resources, communications, and training will also be shared with teams outside of Revenue who are also impacted by the change to support their enablement efforts.

Content Delivery: Act as the liaison for the cross-functional teams that are identifying, prioritizing, and developing collateral to be used by our internal team members to understand the changes that our cross-functional partners are bringing them, generate demand, and deepen the relationships with their clients. You will fully understand Revenue business priorities and use that information to provide guidance and feedback on the creation of these outputs to ensure the collateral meets the needs of the Revenue team.

Collaboration: You will streamline processes for working with our Revenue stakeholders, larger enablement team, and cross-functional team members to bring changes to our Revenue team that will ultimately improve the effectiveness of our Revenue leaders and client facing team members.

In the first week, expect to:

  • Onboard and integrate into Toptal.
  • Rapidly begin learning about Toptal’s history and vision.
  • Familiarize yourself with the Revenue team’s OKRs, initiatives, projects, and how they are aligned to Toptal’s overall success.
  • Meet the Revenue Team and your key stakeholders to begin uncovering individual and team priorities.

In the first month, expect to:

  • Learn the true value of Toptal by completing onboarding training, shadowing calls, and meeting with key stakeholders.
  • Begin cultivating meaningful relationships in and out of Revenue.
  • Understand the enablement process and begin partnering with our cross-functional project owners through the enablement process of our initiatives.

In the first three months, expect to:

  • Create a toolkit that can be utilized by our cross-functional leaders to support change outside of Revenue.

In the first six months, expect to:

  • Transform the process of working with our cross-functional stakeholders.

In the first year, expect to:

  • Become a trusted business partner to Revenue Leadership and other Senior Leadership across Toptal.
  • Transform the way our teams are enabling cross-functional change through the use of new processes, frameworks, and 3rd party tools.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of sales/revenue enablement experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills for effective verbal and written communications with sales teams, operations specialists, collaborating departments, and senior leadership.
  • Collaborative. Nothing we do is done in isolation. Your success depends on your ability to work with a team and cross-functionally.
  • Proactive. Understand our shared mission, and be willing to put in the work required to drive us to that goal.
  • Organized. The nature of this role requires that you understand multiple priorities, and the timelines associated with each, and execute with operational efficiency being top of mind.
  • Meticulous. Toptal is a fast-paced environment, requiring outstanding attention to detail and an understanding of key priorities and initiatives.
  • Coachable. This role requires the ability to synthesize feedback and put it into action.
  • Executive Communicator. In our fully remote organization, strong communication is imperative. Excellent communication in all forms across a wide variety of personality types, roles, and geographies - is paramount to success.
  • Trusted Business Partner. You must be relationship-driven.
  • Innovator: This role favors those experienced in successfully launching externally facing materials to sales teams.
  • Change Management Certification is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience collaborating with Marketing and/or Product teams is a plus.
  • You don’t take yourself too seriously; you have a sense of humor and are comfortable with sarcasm.

Val earned her BBA from Colorado Technical University with an emphasis in marketing.
