Project History

  • Data Classification: Streamlined User Experience
Led the introduction of a new data classification product to significantly streamline data security tool configuration.

After noting customer struggles with configuring the Camouflage data masking application, initiated the project to make configurations significantly easier by classifying data in enterprise data repositories, feeding classification results to the data masking engine.

Success was clear when the second customer to try the new product asked, “How did you ever do this before you had classification?”

  • Rebuilt Tech Stack of Classification Product
Led rebuild of tech stack for a data classification product to improve scaling and performance.

Faced with growing customer data volumes and implementation limitations of the as-built data classification engine, I worked with the Agile development team to revamp and redesign the product workflow, UI, and core engine to significantly improve scalability and performance.

  • Data Masking: Successful Acquisition by Imperva
Worked as the prime product expert for the acquisition of Camouflage Data Masking by Imperva in 2016

After leading the overall vision and development of Camouflage Data Masking product, I oversaw all of the technical aspects leading up to acquisition including due diligence, intellectual property protections, code reviews, and more.
